In about 15 minutes, acclaimed robotics engineer David Bourne could knock your socks off. Really. Not only does he have a very deep understanding about the technology of the future but David is a highly engaging speaker. He gives standing room only TED talks, has been featured in a PBS show, a Scientific American cover story, has given interviews and quotes on Face the Nation, Sixty Minutes, Newsweek, the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Times, and will no doubt give you plenty to think about!
David’s list of accomplishments is too long to list. Suffice it to say, he has worked on robotics in manufacturing, art, education, entertainment, medicine and self-driving cars. And to give you an idea about how long he’s been at the front of this technology, he is a founding member of Carnegie Mellon’s Robotics Institute and the first ever full time faculty member in a Robotics Department.

Big Hero 6 was the highest-grossing animated film of 2014. It won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and Kid’s Choice Awards for Favorite Animated Movie, it also received nominations for the Annie Award for Best Animated Feature, the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, and the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film.

This promises to be an event to interest all ages. If you’ve got a kid, bring a kid. If not, bring the kid in yourself to get a glimpse into the future!
