Feb 3, 2018 The Folk Music of African Americans $10.00 – (children 8 and under free)

The Chincoteague Island Arts Organization (CIAO) invites you to Celebrate Black History Month with The Folk Music of African Americans – an interactive program telling the story of the lives and the music of the African American people. The program is one of a series of workshops presented by celebrated performer and arts educator Devonna Rowe. Dr. Rowe brings history to life with music and movement and is an artist-in-residence with the Maryland Arts Council. History comes to life as the students take part in this musical drama, designed to entertain adults and children from third grade and up.

For adults and children from grade 3 & up 
Admission: $10 (Children 8 under free)
