Miller and Zipse – Saturday – March 31 – $10.

Chincoteague Island Arts Organization (CIAO) is pleased to announce that Pam Miller and David Zipse will perform on Saturday, March 31 on Cabaret Night in the Island Theatre Annex at 4076 Main St.

Pam Miller and David Zipse will recreate songs and lingo from the 1920s, and teach “The Charleston” and “The Black Bottom”. Zipse will perform Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”. Their performance draws from many genres including a lively, eclectic mix of Portuguese sambas, old standards, gospel, blues and jazz, and they experiment with mood and rhythm to make each performance unique.

Pam currently performs with The Delmarva Big Band, the Delmarvalous Dolls tribute to the Andrews Sisters, and the Pam Miller Band. Her 1920s Show is a fixture at Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival. She has a degree in Vocal Performance from Salisbury University.

Wilmington native David Zipse is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory of Music. He has performed on the road with many bands, and has been musical director for more than seventy shows.

The performance starts at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30), and admission is $10. Advance tickets are available at Sundial Books (cash or check). Remaining tickets will be sold at the door. Seating is limited. A cash bar is available with ID.
