History is Made (Again) at the Island Theatre

Shipwreck and The Ballad of Jennie Hill were performed to a sold out Island Theatre on September 1.  The plays, by local playwright, Lisa Cannon, and directed by Lexi K. Hubb, founder of The Chincoteague Island Theatre Company, tell two stories about the diverse history of Chincoteague and Assateague.

The event itself made history as it was the first collaborative effort among the Island’s three arts organizations (Chincoteague Island Arts Organization, Chincoteague Cultural Alliance and The Chincoteague Island Theater Company).

CIAO hopes to present more theatrical presentations in the future.
